Getting started as a pro

Before you start

• A cellphone number that can receive an SMS code
• An email address
• Your bank details, so you can be paid out
• Photos of past work and your trade certificates, if you have them

The sign-up steps

1. Create your account

   Download Skillteq, choose to sign up as a service provider, and verify your number.

2. Your profile

   Add your name, a clear photo and a short description of you and your work.

3. What you do

   Choose your categories and the specific services you offer.

4. Where you work

   Set your province, your town or suburb, and how far you'll travel, from 5 km to 100 km.

5. When you work

   Set the days and hours you're usually available.

6. An intro video (optional)

   A short video introducing yourself helps customers choose you.

7. Your bank details

   So money from your Skillteq wallet can be paid into your account.

8. Your rates and the provider agreement

   Set your rates and accept the terms of working on Skillteq.

After you sign up

Our team reviews your profile and certificates. Once you're approved you get the Verified badge, which customers look for when choosing between quotes.

You can add portfolio photos and certificates from your profile at any time. A full profile wins more work.
