How fees work
Joining Skillteq and getting job requests is free. You only pay when you're paid for a job.
What you pay
A commission of 3% of your quote, taken when the payment for a job is released to you. There's no subscription and no charge for receiving requests or sending quotes.
Your first 3 paid jobs are commission-free. A free job is only used up when you're actually paid. If a quote isn't accepted or a job is cancelled, it doesn't count.
What the customer pays
Customers pay a Skillteq booking fee on top of your quote. It doesn't come out of your money. They see your quote, the booking fee and their total before they pay. The fee depends on the size of the quote:

| R4 000 and up | 5%, at most R500 |
An example
You quote R1 000 to fix a leaking geyser.

These are Skillteq's standard fees as at October 2026. The exact amounts for every job are shown in the app: on the quote before the customer pays, and on the job's payout card once you're paid.
Getting your money
When the customer confirms the job is done, your payment moves to your Skillteq wallet. After a short holding period it becomes available, and you can withdraw it to your bank account.
